Combative Concepts and Handgun Skills CTS-225

An eight-hour armed and unarmed combat course designed to prepare students to respond to surprise attacks. Format for this course will be classroom and range instruction. Basic armed and unarmed combative skills include: Shooting from unusual positions, standing and ground combat, gun retention, 360-degree movement, force options, unarmed to armed defense transitions, use-of-force legal considerations, threat assessment, and critical incident de-escalation techniques.

Required Equipment:

-Centerfire handgun
-1 magazine or speed loader
-Strong side outside the waistband (OWB) or inside waistband (IWB) holster
-Eyes and hearing protection
-Cover garment for concealed training
-Comfortable clothing for technique drills
